The NAINA Bylaws Committee is dedicated to maintaining clear, current, and mission-aligned governing documents that support organizational integrity and effectiveness. The committee ensures that all bylaws remain accurate, accessible, and reflective of NAINA’s strategic goals across the national organization and its chapters.

Goals

  • Ensure timely, comprehensive review and revision of the NAINA Bylaws each term, including recommending necessary revisions/ amendments and presenting proposed changes to the Governing Board for approval.
  • Provide guidance and support to chapter bylaws committee chairs and presidents to ensure alignment of chapter bylaws with NAINA Bylaws as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Initiates amendments/Reviews/recommendations to the bylaws for review by the Governing Board
  • Presents the proposed amendments to the Governing Board.
  • Serves as a resource to the chapter bylaw committee chairs and presidents and assists to ensure that the chapter bylaws are aligned with NAINA bylaws so that members understand and achieve the goals and missions collectively.
  • Ensures that the bylaws are reviewed each term and amended or revised as needed (Refer to Article XI, Amendments to the Bylaws).
  • Ensures that the approved Bylaws are submitted to the secretary to be posted and accessible to members on the NAINA website.



Siby Varughese

RN, MBA, MA, BSN, OCN, CCRP

Siby serves as a Project Manager for oncology clinical trials at Merck. Prior to this role she managed an oncology research program at two community cancer centers within a large healthcare system in New Jersey. She has been an active member of American Association of Indian Nurses Association (AAIN-NJ2) where she has served in various roles such as membership Chair, Secretary and by-laws Chair. Most recently she had the opportunity to serve alongside as NAINA by-laws Co-Chair and learn from the best.

She obtained her BSc(Hons)Nsg from All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi. She earned a MA in Sociology from Annamalai University and holds a MBA in healthcare administration. She is an Oncology Certified nurse (OCN) and a Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP). Siby is passionate about clinical trials and is grateful for the opportunity to contribute in a small manner towards the fight against cancer!!
