Congratulations to Sandra Emmanuel & Umamaheswari Venugopal

The Institute for Nursing ( IFN) was founded in 1988 as the charitable affiliate of the New Jersey State Nurses Association (NJSNA). The purpose was to have a mechanism to receive contributions to provide scholarships, research grants, and to increase education programs. The Institute complements the work of NJSNA, the largest nursing organization in the state, by raising funds and developing and managing grants to support advances in research, education, and clinical practice.

This year IFN celebrated nurses on 4/8/2021. Congratulations to Umamaheswari Venugopal & Sandra Emmanuel for receiving awards and recognition in the administration and education category. Umamaheswari Venugopal currently works as an administrative supervisor at Saint Peter’s University hospital, NewBrunswick, New Jersey and an adjunct faculty at William Paterson University. Uma is the current President of American Association of Indian Nurses, New Jersey Chapter 2. Sandra Emmanuel has over three decades of experience as an education specialist and currently works at Hackensack University hospital. Sandra is the Education and Professional development committee chair & Lead Nurse planner for NAINA.

Uma and Sandra serve on the Governing Board of NAINA . Thank you for your service and congratulations once again.
