HFSA’s Nursing Clinical Excellence Leadership Award honors and supports clinical nursing excellence by a registered nurse who works directly with heart failure (HF) patients, their families, and other nurses providing HF services. Eligible applicants must demonstrate exemplary leadership in HF direct patient care. This includes the delivery and effectiveness of HF management programs, nursing practice, and patient outcomes. Applicants must be actively involved in improving and disseminating HF outcomes, nationally and internationally, along with serving as mentors to future HF emerging leaders and peers.
